01 — About

A scientist pursuing
discovery,
a mentor shaping futures

Independent researcher in Immunology & Viral Pathology — bridging rigorous science with meaningful academic mentorship.

I am actively seeking fully funded PhD opportunities to transition into experimental immunology.

Independent researcher and founder of SL Verma Research Hub, specializing in Immunology and Viral Pathology. Currently focused on a systematic review of immune dysregulation in Long COVID using PRISMA methodology. With a Master's in Zoology (Immunology, First Division 73.1%) from Kumaun University, I bring a strong background in host–pathogen interactions and viral immunopathology.

I integrate AI-assisted tools like Elicit and Rayyan into my research workflow and am currently expanding my skills in R programming and biostatistics. My M.Sc. dissertation — a PRISMA-based systematic review of COVID-19 immunopathology — was supervised by Dr. Shankar Mondal, PhD (AIIMS, New Delhi), who rated me in the top 5% of students.

Alongside research, I serve as a Certified USA Counselor at UCAN, having guided 100+ students through US graduate applications, SOP development, and scholarship research.
